MAILED: Nov. 6, 1997|
EAU CLAIRE -- University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students, faculty and community members can attend a presentation Nov. 12 by Roman Paluta, group account director and senior partner from Carmichael Lynch advertising agency.
Paluta's presentation, "Advertising: From Logic to Magic," will begin at 4 p.m. in room 100 of Hibbard Humanities Hall.
Paluta's visit is co-sponsored by the UW-Eau Claire communication and journalism department and the Advertising Educational Foundation's Ambassador Program. AEF is a non-profit organization supported by agencies, media companies and advertisers and is dedicated to building a better understanding and greater appreciation for the socioeconomic role of advertising in society. The program sends high-level, seasoned advertising executives, like Paluta, to colleges and universities across the country.
Paluta began his career in 1981 with Leo Burnett Company in Chicago where for six years he managed brands for clients such as Kellogg and The Maytag Company. He joined Carmichael Lynch in 1984 after a nearly four-year stint running Mueller Mack, a Minneapolis agency in which he was a partner. In 1987 Paluta joined Campbell Mithun Esty in Minneapolis and helped launch new products while revitalizing brands for DowBrands and General Mills. At Carmichael Lynch, he works with American Standard, Boston Beer Company, Cargill, Formica Corporation and the Minnesota State Lottery.
Paluta received his undergraduate degree and master of science degree in advertising from the University of Illinois.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
