EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire art department will host its annual trip to New York City March 13-22, 1998.
Participants will leave Eau Claire at 4 p.m. on Friday and will return on Sunday. The famous St. Patrick's Day parade will be held in the middle of Spring Break week.
The trip is not a guided tour of New York City, but optional events will be planned each day, including things such as outings to major art museums and galleries. Organizers also will make suggestions of where to eat cheaply and provide some general information about tourist attractions.
The cost is $400 per person staying in quads or $475 per person staying in doubles. The fee includes motor coach transportation, accommodations for seven nights in midtown Manhattan and a few group entries. The trip is open to members of the UW-Eau Claire community and the general public.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Service Center in Davies Center at UW-Eau Claire.
For additional information, contact Bobby Pitts at (715) 836-3747 or Steve Katrosits at (715) 836-5612.
