Poetry and Prose Reading Scheduled
for Dec. 4 in Davies Center

EAU CLAIRE -- Karen Loeb and Bruce Taylor, professors of English at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will read from their works at 8 p.m. Dec. 4 in The Cabin, Davies Center.
The reading is sponsored by NOTA, the campus creative arts organization, and is open to the public.
Loeb's book, "Jump Rope Queen and Other Stories," published by New Rivers Press, won a Minnesota Voices Project Award. She has received several awards from the Wisconsin Arts Board, and two of her poems are currently featured in "The Vision and the Word" show at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire.
Taylor is the author of four chapbooks of poetry and editor of six anthologies. His poetry and translations have appeared in such places as "The Chicago Review," "The Formalist," "The Nation" and "Poetry." He has won fellowships and awards from Fulbright-Hays, the Wisconsin Arts Board, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Bush Artist Foundation.
