EAU CLAIRE -- The fourth annual Voices for Hospice concert is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in Gantner Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Two area barbershop quartets, CHIPS and Midnite Watchmen, will participate in this year's event along with UW-Eau Claire music faculty Daniel Newman and Barbara Young. Members of CHIPS are Jerry O'Brien, tenor; Randy Knaack, lead; Rod Bailey, bass; and Tom Arneberg, baritone. Members of the Midnite Watchmen are Terry Glanzman, tenor; Dan Heike, lead; Chuck Brietson, bass; and Randy Lieble, baritone.
The concert is held to raise awareness of and funds for The Hospice Program of Northwest Wisconsin HomeCare. The concert will be broadcast live on WUEC 89.7, Wisconsin Public Radio.
A special memorial service will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m., and a reception will follow the concert with a display of the Hospice Remembrance Quilts.
The cost is $5. Tickets are available at the door or by calling the University Service Center at (715) 836-3727.
Parking will be available on the west side of the Fine Arts Center, located on Water Street.
