EAU CLAIRE -- "Life in College at UW-Eau Claire," a conference aimed at Hmong high school students, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The purpose of the event is to introduce college life to high school students. There will be three workshops during the day. Participants may attend any of the workshops or stay in the Council Fire Room with alumni. Refreshments will be served in the morning.
Following the conference, a dance will be held from 7 to 11:30 p.m. in the Council Fire Room. Live bands will provide entertainment. Admission for the event is $6. The night activity will be provided as a fund-raiser to help pay for the cost of the day's events. Excess revenue will go to the Hmong Student Association's account for future activities.
Both events are open to the public. The conference during the day is free.
