EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foster Art Gallery, in conjunction with the UW-Stout Furlong Gallery, will host the second show of the 1997 fall semester beginning Oct. 3.

The show, titled "Cast in Two Parts," will be on display Oct. 3-30. It will feature sculptural works by students and faculty from the UW System. Also supporting the show is the Coalition of Active Sculpture Teachers, an organization of Wisconsin state universities.

Wendy Steiner and Buzz Spector are guest speakers who are slated to give presentations. Steiner, chair of the English department at the University of Pennsylvania and author of "The Scandal of Pleasure: Art in the Age of Fundamentalism," and Spector, artist, writer and professor in the School of Arts and Design at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will speak at 9:45 a.m., Oct. 3, in room 101 of the Fine Arts Center at UW-Eau Claire, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 3 at UW-Stout.

Opening receptions are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Foster Art Gallery, and 4 to 6 p.m. at UW-Stout's Furlong Gallery.
