EAU CLAIRE -- "Renoir's Portraits" at the Art Institute will be the featured exhibition during the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's art department annual Chicago trip slated for Oct. 24-26. This exhibition focuses on Renoir's many portraits, including the well-known though rarely traveled "The Luncheon of the Boating Party." The cost of the trip is $130 per person for doubles or $90 per person for quads. The cost includes motorcoach transportation, motel accommodations, and group entry to the Art Institute and the Museum of Contemporary Art. This is not a guided tour so there is opportunity for individuals to explore Chicago's sights, cultural events, shopping and music. Forty tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the University Service Center (715) 836-3727. The ticket deadline is Sept. 22. An organizational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 22 in room 105 of the Fine Arts Center. For additional information about the Chicago trip, call Steve Katrosits at (715) 836-5612 or Bobby Pitts at (715) 836-3747. -30- JB
