EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin Indianhead Arts and Education Center in Shell Lake will offer a variety of music workshops during July and August.

The workshops will offer musicians opportunities to enhance specific skills and earn college credit. College students and music educators are eligible to participate.

Workshops scheduled for July and August include: "Conducting," July 14-18; "Piano Tuning," July 21-Aug. 8; "MIDI Basics," July 28-Aug. 1; "Beginning Vocal Jazz," July 28-Aug. 1; "Band Repertoire," July 28-Aug. 1; "Brass Repair," July 21-25; "Percussion Techniques for Non-Percussionists," July 28-Aug. 1; "MIDI: Beyond the Basics," Aug. 4-8; and "Woodwind Repair," July 28-Aug. 1.

Concerts will be held on Thursday nights during workshops. Tickets to the concerts cost $4 for adults and $2 for students.
