EAU CLAIRE -- The Singing Statesmen will present a concert at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The first part of the program will include "Psalm 96" by Fenno Heath, "O Sacrum Convivium" by Tomas Luis da Victoria, "Ascendit Deus" by Jackson Berkey, and "The Last Words of David" by Randall Thompson. The second part of the program will include "Nachtgesang im Walde" by Franz Schubert, "Vocalise" by Wilbur Chenoweth, and "The Toreador's Song" by George Bizet. The third part of the program will include "Somethin' About Cha," "Tell Her About It" and "Grease Lightnin'" as arranged by the group Innocent Men. The final portion of the program will be a performance by Innocent Men. The group will perform "Steal Away" by Brazeal Dennard, "Somebody's Calling My Name" as arranged by Wendall Whalum, "Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder" as arranged by Robert De Cormier, "One by One" be Lebo M., "Will You Remember" by Sigmund Romberg, "Prayer of the Children" by Kurt Bestor/Rod Stoughton, and "Bui-doi" by Claude-Michel Schonberg/Sean Veenendaal. Tickets for the concert are $4.75 for the general public; $3.75 for senior citizens, children under 18, and faculty and staff; or $1.50 with a UW-Eau Claire ID.
