EAU CLAIRE -- The Campus Hemp Information and Legalization Initiative (CHILI) will sponsor its third annual Hemp Carnival from 1 to 7 p.m. May 11 on the Central Campus Mall at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

This year's carnival focus will be on Wisconsin's pending agricultural hemp bill and the medical marijuana bill to be introduced shortly.

During the carnival, Dave West of PHD Plant Breeding will speak about efforts to advance Wisconsin's agricultural hemp bill. Businessman Jordan Grunow will discuss his experiences as a hemp merchant.

Entertainment will be provided by the Ryan Lehman Quintet, Billy Lava, Ben Shaw, Jimmy's Comet, Inertia and the Freq's, and Touch is Automatic.
