EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, May 12. All events are free and open to the public. THURSDAY, MAY 15: • Alan LaFave will present a master class guest recital at 4 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Center. LaFave will perform "Sonata" by Francis Poulenc, "New York Counterpoint" by Steve Reich, "Carnival of Venice" by Paul Jeanjean, and "Concert Piece No. 2 for Two Clarinets" by Felix Mendelsshon. He will be accompanied by Barbara Young, lecturer of music, on piano and assisted by Richard Fletcher, professor of music, on clarinet. -30- SMG/JB
