EAU CLAIRE -- A number of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will perform in the upcoming department of music and theatre arts production of "Home." The show begins on a bare terrace where two middle-aged gentlemen greet each other courteously. The men discuss various topics, and things feel not quite normal. With no plot at all in the conventional sense, and with sparse, almost skeletal dialogue, the audience has been, by the time the day is over, moved to compassion, to sympathy and to respect. The show, directed by Terry Allen, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. May 6-10 and 13-17, and at 1:30 p.m. May 11 in Riverside Theatre of the Fine Arts Center. The following students will perform in the theater production: Alfred Narciso, a senior theatre arts major from Eau Claire, will play Harry. Russell Zook, a senior theatre arts major from Fall Creek, will play Jack. Kirsten Lindsey, a junior theatre arts major from Eau Claire, will play Marjorie. Tracy Marie Phelps, a junior theatre arts major from Coon Rapids, Minn., will play Kathleen. John Biondi, a junior theatre arts major from Eau Claire, will play Alfred. The production staff for the show includes: Terry Allen, professor of theatre arts, is the director and sound designer for the show. Brad Calli, a senior theatre arts major from Marshfield, is the assistant director and stage manager. William F. Mellien, professor of theatre arts, is the scenic and lighting designer for the show. Ann Behrens is the costume designer for the show. Rebecca Ann Multz, a sophomore theatre arts major from Anoka, Minn., is the makeup designer for the show. Sean P. Sweeney, a senior theatre arts major from Eau Claire, is in charge of properties for the show.
