EAU CLAIRE -- Springfest, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's annual outdoor celebration of the season, will run Monday through Friday, May 5-9, on the Central Campus Mall. Live music will be performed each day from noon to 1 p.m. The lineup includes the reggae group R-Gie-Ooh (Monday); the Crawlin' Kingsnakes blues band (Tuesday); impromptu rock band The Beatles (Wednesday); rock-and-roll trio The Buddyrevelles (Thursday); and local folk artists The Embellishment (Friday). The festival is free and open to all. Bratwurst, burgers and other refreshments will be sold on the mall every day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In case of rain, the programs will move to the The Cabin, Davies Center. Springfest is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the Student Senate.
