EAU CLAIRE - A sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was awarded a scholarship from the Society of Participating Honor Students.

Christine Brenny, a nursing major from Stoughton, will receive a $100 scholarship for the fall of 1997-98.

SOPHS awards its annual scholarship to a full-time UW-Eau Claire sophomore who has demonstrated academic achievement and volunteer initiative and effort in his or her collegiate career. To be considered for a SOPHS scholarship, a student must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.2 out of 4.
