The Wind Ensemble is directed by Dr. Todd Fiegel, director of university bands and assistant professor of music at UW-Eau Claire. Under the direction of Fiegel, the Wind Ensemble has become one of the premiere windbands in the state. The ensemble allows accomplished musicians to perform challenging music of various instrumentation and styles. The group will perform "Divertimento for Winds and Percussion (1993)" by Roger Cichy, "Valdres" by Johannes Hanssen, "A Summer Day 1996" by Ivar Lunde Jr., "Second Suite in F for Military Band" by Gustav Holst, and "Festive Overture" by Dmitri Shostakovich with translation by Donald Hunsberger.

The Symphony Band is directed by Rodney Hudson, associate professor of music at UW-Eau Claire. The band is comprised of primarily music majors and carries on a tradition of excellence performing the highest quality large-band repertoire. The groups will perform "Divertimento in F" by Jack Stamp; "Children's March, Over the Hills and Far Away" by Percy Grainger; and "LAUDE, Chorale, Variations and Metamorphoses" by Howard Hanson.

Tickets for the concert are $4.50 for the general public; $3.50 for senior citizens, children under 18 and faculty and staff; or $1.25 with a UW-Eau Claire ID. Tickets are available in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center.
