EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, March 31. All events are free and open to the public.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2:

Deborah Petras, a senior music major from Green Bay, will present a student soprano recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Center. Petras will perform pieces by Wolfgang A. Mozart, Gabriel Faure, Francis Poulenc, Franz Schubert, Hugo Wolf, Richard Strauss, Seymour Barab and Gioacchino Rossini. She will be accompanied by Brenda Greenwald, a freshman music major from Sheboygan, on piano and assisted by Lisa Whipkey, a junior music major from Stillwater, Minn., on violin.

Michael Cunningham, professor of music and theatre arts, will present a faculty composition recital at 8 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center. Cunningham's pieces will include "Piano Sonata, No. 5, Op. 168," "Ayre (for flutes), Op. 180," "Espressivo, Op. 182," "Declamations, Op. 181," "Rivals, Op. 184" and "Piano Trio No. 5."

FRIDAY, APRIL 4:

JazzFest will take place all day in the Fine Arts Center.

SATURDAY, APRIL 5:

JazzFest will take place all day in the Fine Arts Center.
