EAU CLAIRE - The McIntyre Library at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is exhibiting "The American Cowboy" from the Library of Congress display series.
Legends of the Wild West that have been kept alive through stories, movies, music and paintings can now be seen on display in the McIntyre Library.
"The American Cowboy" pictorial display, located on the second floor link between the main library and the Center for Reserve and Instructional Media, illuminates the realities and myths of the Wild West legends.
"The Library of Congress Corner" is used to illustrate eras in American history and present details responsible for the evolution of the United States. Each exhibit contains a written text written by the Library of Congress staff.
SIRS Inc. (Social Issues Resources Series) is responsible for publishing the display as well as providing print and electronic research information systems to more than 30,000 schools, public libraries and colleges.
"The American Cowboy" display can be seen during regular library hours.
