EAU CLAIRE - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is offering a networking program titled "Connections." The year-old program was designed to match UW-Eau Claire students with alumni who live and work in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Chicago. Through alumni matches, students are able to learn more about specific careers, job shadowing, internships and available employment in the alumni's area. All UW-Eau Claire students are eligible to be a part of "Connections." Students who have questions about a career, are unsure of what career path to choose or would like job advice from a professional are encouraged to participate. To participate, students must fill out an application and must make an appointment with a Career Services staff member to discuss possible alumni matches. Students who have questions concerning the "Connections" program are invited to attend an informational meeting at noon or 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. The noon session will be held in the Arrowhead Room of Davies Center, and the 4 p.m. session will be held in the Presidents Room of Davies Center. For additional information or to receive a brochure, contact Career Services at 836-5359 or Alumni Relations at 836-3266. -30- UW-Eau Claire News Bureau Schofield 218 (715) 836-4741 newsbur@uwec.edu Updated: April 23, 1997 |
