EAU CLAIRE -University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students with spouses and/or children will have an opportunity to create a network of support with other students who are in similar situations in the "Balancing Roles" support group.
The workshop is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Counseling Services and the Educational Opportunity Center.
Students will meet weekly for six weeks during the semester beginning Monday, Feb. 10. The groups will meet on Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Old Library, room 2122.
During the meetings, students will begin to define their various roles, gain insight into how their educational experiences differ from traditional students, and develop strategies for solving problems experienced by nontraditional students.
