EAU CLAIRE - The International Reggae All Stars will perform in concert on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Prince Jabba and Shalita will be special guests at the Winter Carnival Jamaica Jam, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Council Fire Room, Davies Center. The Twin Cities-based International Reggae All Stars unites artists from around the globe into a single reggae/world beat band that is contemporary and true to the music. With a lineup of musicians who hail from Jamaica, Liberia, Trinidad and the United States., the band is comprised of Lynval Jackson (vocals), Markiss (guitar and vocals), Maurbo Williams (bass), Steve Starks (keyboards), Tony Paul (percussion), and Craig Water (drums). Sharing the bill will be Prince Jabba, from Jamaica; and Tanzanian guitarist-vocalist Yusuf (Joe) Shalita and his band. Tickets are $7 ($5 for UW-Eau Claire students) at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, and will be sold at the door. The show is open to all ages; proof of age is required in the bar area. The concert is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
