EAU CLAIRE - The Educational Opportunity Center, housed at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will sponsor a program for adults interested in career movement and increased self-awareness. The program, "Career Exploration with Myers Briggs," will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 13, at UW Center-Marshfield Wood County. The program will assist community adults in making choices for career changes, increase self-awareness and provide an introduction to area educational offerings. Seminar participants will take the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. In the following three hours of presentation and group activity the participants will learn the language of Type, experience the preferences and how they differ, discuss how Type enriches work relationships and career enjoyment, and begin planning for career change. Jill Christopherson, of the Educational Opportunity Center, will lead the workshop. Christopherson holds a master's degree in guidance and counseling and has more than nine years experience in career counseling. She has presented career-related topics locally and internationally to individuals in transition. The program is free and open to the public.
