UW-Eau Claire Students Contribute
To Annual Music Program's Success

EAU CLAIRE — Numerous students contributed to the success of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's 13th annual "Ye Olde Madrigale Dinner," held in the Council Fire Room of the W.R. Davies Center Dec. 4 and 5.

Featured performers included sophomore Alex Krukowski, Waconia, Minn., as the court jester; junior Noah Haas, Rice Lake, and sophomore Stephanie Holte, Sheboygan, as the king and queen presiding over the dinner; and freshmen David Kawatski, Mosinee, and sophomore Katie LeBrun, Eau Claire, as Lord and Lady Chamberlain, hosting the dinner in the great hall of their castle.

In addition to the numerous Court Thespians, the Royal Court Singers and the Royal Court Recorders, guests were entertained by the Royal Court Brass, including Greg Van Sickle, Pigeon Falls, and Jacob Morris, Maple Grove, Minn., on trumpet, Mary Heimerman, Shoreview, Minn., on horn, Corey Van Sickle, Pigeon Falls, on trombone, Joel Helston, Stillwater, Minn., on tuba and Ryan Wilson, Chippewa Falls, on timpani. Other student musicians included Kristin Wood, Black River Falls, and Joe Schneider, Eau Claire, on harpsichord; Tim Baumann, River Falls, on oboe, Breta Borstad, Cameron, on flute, Kristin Bar, Stoughton, on the psaltery and Mark Lundin, Blaine, Minn., on percussion.

The Madrigal was directed and produced by Dr. Gary Schwartzhoff, professor of music and director of the choral program at UW-Eau Claire, with costumes designed by Dr. Cheryl Starr, associate professor of theatre arts.
