EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Earth Science Seminar Series for 2004-05 will be held at 3 p.m. on selected Fridays in Room P265 of Phillips Science Hall. Following is the schedule for fall semester 2004.

• Oct. 22 - Speakers: Paul Thomas and Phil Ihinger, UW-Eau Claire. "Water on Mars - Perhaps Life?"
• Oct. 29 - Speaker: Ralph Haugerud, U.S. Geological Survey ( University of Washington). "LIDAR: Remote Sensing of Active Tectonics"
• Nov. 5 - Speaker: Susy Svatek-Ziegler, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. "Vegetation Change in Minnesota's Big Woods and Northwoods"
• Nov.19 - Speaker: Walter Loope, U.S. Geological Survey. "Inland Dunes of Eastern Upper Michigan: Occham's Razor Takes a Holiday."
• Dec. 3 - Speaker: J. Elmo Rawling, UW-Platteville. "Quaternary Research Opportunities in Badlands National Park"
