The following Homecoming 2004 events/activities may provide story and/or photo opportunities. Contact Alumni Relations at (715) 836-3266 for details unless other contact information is provided. - Each fall the Alumni Association and Foundation induct outstanding alumni from the university's colleges into the Alumni Hall of Honor. The induction will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Tamarack Room, Davies Center.
- The Varsity Night Live! show begins at 7 p.m. Friday in Zorn Arena. The variety show will feature students and host Buzz Sutherland, who won Comedian of the Year honors on the college circuit 13 times. Contact Paula Stuettgen at (715) 836-4803 or stuettpj@uwec.edu.
- The first Multicultural Alumni Gala will begin at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. Hosts are Gregory Jones '75 (first director of the American Ethnic Coordinating Office) and Gwen Jones '80. It will follow a Student Scholarship Recognition Banquet, honoring diversity scholar winners. Contact Christine Webster at (715) 836-3015 or websteck@uwec.edu.
- The Nursing Alumni Walk begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Nursing Building.
- The Homecoming Parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and runs along First Avenue.
- The Blugold Fever Fest pre-game celebration will run from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Carson Park. A highlight includes UW-Eau Claire's newly energized Blugold Marching Band performing a pre-game pep rally.
- The Homecoming football game against UW-River Falls begins at 1 p.m. Saturday in Carson Park on the newly surfaced field.
- A post-game party, "Return to the North Woods," will begin at 4 p.m. in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. Alumni can visit as they view scenes of campus through the decades.
- An alcohol-free post-game festival, featuring the Jim Pullman Band and Live Band Karaoke, will run from 3-7 p.m. in the Haas Fine Arts Center parking lot. Contact Paula Stuettgen at (715) 836-4803 or stuettpj@uwec.edu.
- Spectator alumni and current/former communication/journalism faculty will meet at Blugold Fever Fest in Carson Park. They'll watch the game together and attend a reception from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Hibbard Hall Penthouse. Contact Jill Steinke at (715) 345-2248 or jsteinke@cwnews.net.
