EAU CLAIRE — The 57th Annual Chippewa Valley School Press Association Fall Journalism Conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus.

The conference is intended for new advisers, editors, reporters, photographers and experienced advisers. It will include the basics of newspaper and yearbook production, advanced journalism techniques, photography for beginners and photojournalism.

Two contests will be part of the conference, an on-the-spot yearbook layout and design competition and a newspaper on-the-spot mass interview. Each contest is open to one entry per school.

The conference fee is $5 per student. Advisers pay no conference fee, but lunch is $9 for advisers.

UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education, UW-Extension and the C.V.S.P.A. are sponsoring the conference.
