UW-Eau Claire's New Diversity
Web Site Goes Live

EAU CLAIRE — A new Web site at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is a resource for students, faculty, staff, community members and others interested in learning more about issues of difference related to identity and culture.

The Diversity Hub includes a variety of information relating to diversity and social justice, said Kimberly Barrett, associate vice chancellor of student development and diversity.

In the past, significant information relating to diversity and social justice could be found on the university's Web site but it was scattered throughout the site making it hard to find, Barrett said. The Diversity Hub pulls much of that information together so people can easily find it in one place, she said.

"We hope that people not only view and use the site, but also provide information that can be included in it," Barrett said. "We want this site to be dynamic so we're inviting users — including those on and off campus — to provide information about events and resources that can be added to the Diversity Hub. The more comprehensive the site, the more valuable it will be."
