UW-Eau Claire to Offer Programs
For Health and Human Services Professionals

EAU CLAIRE - University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education will present three programs for health and human services professionals in September and October.
- "Psychotropic Medications and the Adult Client" will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Days Inn Hotel & Conference Center in La Crosse and Friday, Sept. 24, at the Plaza Hotel & Suites Conference Center in Eau Claire. The program, presented by Mary Ellen Stolder, MSN, is designed for social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals working with clients who receive psychotropic medications in a variety of healthcare situations, including long term care and community health settings. Tuition is $99 per person for three or more registering at the same time or for registrations postmarked by Sept. 3. General registration is $110 per person registering after Sept. 3.
- "Helping Your Clients: Evidence-Based Practice in a Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team Approach" will be held Friday, Oct. 8, at the UW-Eau Claire McIntyre Library, Room 2023A, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This hands-on program, designed and taught by professor of social work Dr. Leonard Gibbs and nursing professors Dr. Susan Moch and Dr. Lois Taft, will focus on best practices for nurses, social workers, psychologists and other professionals involved in multidisciplinary teams in health care settings. Tuition is $139 per person for registrations postmarked by Sept. 10; $149 per person general registration.
- "Do No Harm: Competency and Psychotherapy with Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse" will be held Friday, Oct.15, at the Plaza Hotel & Suites in Eau Claire. Course instructor Dr. Susan Turell, a licensed psychologist, presents this program for nurses, social workers, mental and behavior health professionals, counselors, psychologists and psychiatrists who work with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Tuition is $129 per person for registrations postmarked by Sept.15; general registration is $139 per person.
- Tuition prices for all programs include instruction, materials, lunch, refreshments, and CEUs and/or Nursing Contact Hours.
