Ten New UW-Eau Claire Students
Named Kopp Presidential Scholars

EAU CLAIRE - Ten students who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the fall have been named Kopp Presidential Scholars for the 2004-05 academic year.

The university awards Kopp Presidential Scholarships to up to 10 new freshmen on the basis of academic achievement, national test scores, and school and community leadership and service. The non-renewable scholarship funds are made possible by a gift from Kopp Investment Advisors, Edina, Minn., to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Inc.

Kopp Presidential Scholars are:

• Marc Davis, Duluth, Minn., a graduate of Marshall College Prep School and the son of Terese Tomanek and Steven Davis
• Lauren Derksen, Maple Grove, Minn., a graduate of Maple Grove Senior High School and the daughter of Brad and Terry Derksen
• Christina Dietrich, La Crosse, a graduate of Logan High School and the daughter of Allen and Linda Dietrich
• Deborah Ernie, Hudson, a graduate of Hudson High School and the daughter of Doug and Kathy Ernie
• Gwen Goetting, Fountain City, a graduate of Cochrane-Fountain City Senior High School and the daughter of Michael and Rosemary Goetting
• Jenny Hunter, Lakeville, Minn., a graduate of Lakeville High School and the daughter of John and Cindy Hunter
• Ane Klomps, Rochester, Minn., a graduate of Mayo High School and the daughter of Mary and Gordon Klomps
• Emily MacLachlan, Rogers, Minn., a graduate of Elk River High School and the daughter of Jim and Margie MacLachlan
• Caitlin Nelson, Green Bay, a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and the daughter of Bill and Michele Nelson
• John Raymond, Golden Valley, Minn., a graduate of Hopkins High School and the son of Buzz and Janet Raymond
