Fourth Annual Aging Summit
To be held Friday, May 7

EAU CLAIRE — The Center for Health and Aging Services Excellence at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, along with AARP Wisconsin, the Advisors on Gerontological Education , AgeAdvantAge Inc., Community Health Partnership and the Northern Area Agency on Aging, Inc., will offer the fourth annual Aging Summit on Friday, May 7.

“It Takes A Village: The Impact of Aging on Our Cities and Towns — Generating Solutions and Ideas that Work” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plaza Inn and Suites in Eau Claire.

The goal of the fourth annual Aging Summit is to promote and discuss interdisciplinary perspectives on the influence that the baby boom population will have on our community’s infrastructure of business systems, health care and government bodies. Dr. Jim Benson, president emeritus of Bemidji State University, will give a keynote address on “Reach Out and Touch Tomorrow” and “Getting a Grip, Making Things Happen.”

The program has been approved for .4 CEUs for four hours of instruction from UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education in cooperation with UW-Extension.
