Offers June Programs for Health Professionals

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
Continuing Education will present three programs for health and human services
professionals in June.
- “Helping Your Clients: Evidence-Based Practice
in a Multidisciplinary Team Approach” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to
4 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at the Park Inn & Suites in Eau Claire. The program,
designed and taught by UW-Eau Claire faculty members Dr. Leonard Gibbs, of
the social work department, and Dr. Susan Moch and Dr. Lois Taft, of the nursing
department, will focus on best practices for nurses, social workers, psychologists
and other professionals involved in multidisciplinary teams in health care
settings. Tuition is $119 per person for registrations postmarked by May 14
and $130 per person general registration, which includes instruction, materials,
lunch, refreshments, and CEUs and/or contact hours.
- “Beyond Terror: Facing Our Everyday Fears”
will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Plaza Hotel
& Suites in Eau Claire. Program speaker Dr. Terence Barrett will share
strategies for providing guidance and assistance for clients confronting fears.
Tuition is $125 per person, $105 per person for three or more registering
together, or $210 if also attending the June 4 “Guiding the Journey
Out of Marital Conflict” program. Tuition includes instruction, materials,
refreshments, lunch, CEUs and/or contact hours.
- “Guiding the Journey Out of Marital Conflict”
will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the Plaza Hotel
& Suites in Eau Claire. Program speaker Dr. Terence Barrett, PhD will
provide methods for guiding couples out of habitual patterns of damaging conflict.
Tuition is $125 per person, $105 per person for three or more registering
together, or $210 if also attending the June 3 “Beyond Terror: Facing
Our Everyday Fears” program. Tuition includes instruction, materials,
refreshments, lunch, CEUs and/or contact hours.
