Minneapolis’ Gabriel James to Perform
Free Concerts at UW-Eau Claire

 MAILED:  April 12, 2004

EAU CLAIRE — Minneapolis singer-songwriter Gabriel James will present three free concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire April 22-24. His shows will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in The Cabin of Davies Center.

While it is often called folk rock, James’ music plays equally well to the jam-band crowd. His musical influences include Ani DiFranco, Howie Day, Ben Harper and Tori Amos. James has released his debut album, “Dance Songs for the Narcoleptic” (2003), and his performances on the Twin Cities club scene are building a following throughout the area.

The show is open to all ages. Pop, domestic and imported beer, wine coolers and popcorn will be sold; proof of age is required for alcohol purchases.

The Cabin program is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
