Students Hold Fifth Annual Banquet April 1

EAU CLAIRE — The UW-Eau Claire Health Care Administration student organization is holding its fifth annual banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at the Plaza Hotel & Suites, 1202 W. Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire.

The event, for current students, alumni and health care providers, is designed to stimulate thinking about the future of the health care field. Mary Tellis-Nayak is the scheduled keynote speaker for the event, and the theme for her remarks is “Stepping Up to the Plate: Quality Leaders for Quality Care.” Tellis-Nayak, President/CEO of the American College of Health Care Administrators, currently works toward achieving excellence in education and professional development for ACHCA members and is a valued speaker at long-term care forums. The program has been approved for 1 CEU credit by the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators.

Sponsors of the event include the Center for Health and Aging Services Excellence, the Minnesota Chair for Long-term Care and Aging at the University of Minnesota, Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dove Healthcare, Grace Lutheran Foundation, Heyde Health System, Orbovich & Gartner, Pathway Health Services, Wipfli Ullrich Bertelson LLP, and the Extendicare facilities of Cornell Area Care Center, Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Oakwood Villa.
