UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education
To Sponsor Ethics Program for Social Workers

 MAILED:  March 10, 2004

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education will present “Ethics and Boundaries: Strengths-Based Care and the Adult Client” in Rhinelander on May 11, Hayward on May 12, and Eau Claire on May 13. Programs in all locations begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.

Working with the adult client population and their families presents both unique and sometimes mundane ethics challenges for the social workers and other health and human services practitioners. Confident and compassionate practice is especially challenging in rural communities and small towns where confidentiality, conflict of interest and access to services are often at issue. Program speaker Karen Jick, LCSW, LMFT, developed this program to address ethical issues specific to social work professionals with adult clients.

Tuition is $99; $89 for three or more registering at the same time or for registrations postmarked by April 30. Tuition includes .5 CEUs, lunch and break refreshments, and program materials.
