EAU CLAIRE — A pre-show discussion of “Richard III” is planned for 6:30-7 p.m. March 8 in the Dulany Inn of Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The discussion will give those planning to attend the evening’s Artists Series event an opportunity to learn more about the play before they see it.
Led by UW-Eau Claire Assistant Professor Jan Stirm, the pre-show discussion is titled “Theatricality versus history, or Why do we love to hate Richard III?”
The discussion will precede The Acting Company’s 7:30 p.m. production of William Shakespeare’s “Richard III,” which will take place in Zorn Arena.
The pre-show discussion fee is $5, payable at the door. Refreshments and beverages will be served.
For more information about the discussion, contact Jennifer Hinners at (715) 836-2787 or hinnerjl@uwec.edu. For information about tickets to the Artists Series “Richard III” production, call the university’s Ticket Office at (715) 836-3727.
