Eating Disorders Presentation
 MAILED:  Feb. 26, 2004

Kitty Westin, founder and president of the Anna Westin Foundation, will be on the UW-Eau Claire campus today (Thursday, Feb. 26) to give a presentation about her late daughter’s battle with eating disorders.

The presentation, titled “Consumed by Anorexia – Anna’s Story,” will begin at 7 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium.

The media is welcome to attend.

Anna Westin, of Chaska, Minn., died at the age of 21 after a five-year battle with anorexia. After her death, Anna’s family established The Anna Westin Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed to help others suffering directly or indirectly from eating disorders, and to provide education and information designed to prevent the development of anorexia and bulimia.

The event is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire’s Students Against Eating Disorders, an organization that creates awareness of eating disorders and stimulates prevention efforts.
