16th Annual Senior Americans’ Day
To be Celebrated at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — The 16th Annual Senior Americans’ Day program will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The theme this year is “Senior Swing — For the Positively Ageless Crowd.”

The program features keynote speaker Kevin McMullin, storyteller and musician from Sarona; more than 40 workshops on topics ranging from computers to healthcare to the wonders of wine; and vocalist Warren Petryk. The cost of the program is $25 per person and includes materials, continental breakfast and lunch.

An optional lunch and matinee performance of the musical comedy “How to Talk Minnesotan” will begin at noon Monday, March 22, at the Fanny Hill Dinner Theatre. The cost is $30 per person.

Senior Swing is sponsored by The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension in cooperation with the Grace Lutheran Foundation, Inc.; Sacred Heart Hospital; Eau Claire County Department on Aging; Mental Health in Eau Claire County, Inc.; and AgeAdvantAge, Inc. The day is planned by community representatives committed to the interests of older adults.
