Story Idea
UW-Eau Claire will celebrate Black History Month in
February, beginning with a reception from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, in
the Presidents Room of Davies Center. The reception will include a number
of displays and posters honoring famous African-Americans. Examples include:
a circa 1960s Civil Rights quilt; the African-American mosaic presented by the
Library of Congress; posters featuring African-American artists, musicians,
athletes, writers and social reformers; and profiles of famous African-Americans.
