UW-Eau Claire Forensics Team
Places Third in MAFL Tournament

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire forensics team traveled to Peoria, Ill., to compete at the Mid-American Forensics League’s sixth tournament this year, hosted by Bradley University Jan. 24-25. Eight UW-Eau Claire students participated and took third as a team.

Following are the individual results:

Senior Brandon M. Buchanan, San Antonio, Texas, placed first in communication analysis, second in impromptu speaking and third in extemporaneous speaking.

Freshman Christine Zani, Hurley, took third place in informative speaking.

Junior Dan Mc Neely, Bloomington, Minn., took fourth place in program oral interpretation.

Sophomore Bonnie Maczka, Lino Lakes, Minn., placed sixth in communication analysis.

Freshman Amy Oldakowski, Sobieski, placed sixth in informative speaking, qualifying her to participate in the National Forensics Association tournament.

Sophomore Elizabeth Anne Schroeder, Le Center, Minn., took seventh place in both informative speaking and extemporaneous speaking.
