EAU CLAIRE — Community members are invited to take courses at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire again during the spring semester.
An informational session will be offered this week to help community members gather the information they need about opportunities available to them at UW-Eau Claire. A special night also will be set aside to allow community members to talk with university staff, select courses and enroll for spring semester.
The following sessions are open to the community:
Back-to-School Program
— This program is designed for community members who are interested in
taking a class or who already have enrolled for the spring semester but want
more information about all the campus resources available to them. It also gives
returning adult students a chance to meet other nontraditional age students
and university staff. Sessions will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m. or 6:30 to
8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.
To register, call (715) 836-3259.
Community Registration Night — Community members interested in taking classes this spring may attend Community Registration Night. A list of open classes will be available, and university staff will be on hand to help community members select and enroll in courses for the spring semester. Business office staff will be available to discuss payment options (a $100 down payment is required at the time of registration), students can rent or buy textbooks, and the Parking and Transportation Services office will sell parking permits. By the time a person walks out the door, he or she will be ready to begin the spring semester. The session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 in Schofield Hall.
Both sessions are free, but participants must register for the Back-to-School Program by calling the Adult Opportunity office at (715) 836-3259. Anyone may attend Community Registration Night, and preregistration in not necessary. To receive a packet of information that will help participants move through registration night more quickly, call (715) 836-2425. Free parking will be available in all university parking lots during both sessions.
UW-Eau Claire spring semester classes start Monday, Jan. 26.
For more information about the January programs or to talk about opportunities available at UW-Eau Claire call Debbie Gough or Bonnie Isaacson at (715) 826-3259.
