UW-Eau Claire to Offer Course
On Choral Conducting and Repertoire

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire department of music and theatre arts, UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education and UW-Extension will present “Choral Conducting, Repertoire & Techniques” from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 17, 19, 23, 26 and March 2, 2004. The course, taught by Dr. Gary Schwartzhoff, will be held at the Haas Fine Arts Building on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

The course is designed for middle and high school choral conductors, college students, choral directors and others interested in choral music. Topics covered include conducting, choral repertoire, rehearsal techniques, Show Choir/Madrigal Dinner/variety shows/musicals and “A Plan for Choral Equity.”

Tuition is $200 for the non-credit option and $306 for one graduate credit. All fees include instruction and materials.
