EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble I, under the direction of Bob Baca, associate professor of music, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The group will perform classics by Miles Davis, George Gershwin and Frank Foster, as well as “Yes or No” by senior Andrew Neesley, Glendale, and an arrangement of Miles Davis’ “Four” by alumnus Jamey Simmons. Additional works include, “The Razor’s Edge” by Dave Holland; “Riverscape” by Fred Sturm; “Celebrate” by former faculty member Dominic Spera; and a “Christmas Medley” by Jerry Norwak.

“This concert is full of great jazz classics as well as some outstanding new works,” said Baca, director of the jazz studies area. “Everyone should attend this phenomenal performance.”

Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or (800) 949-UWEC, are $4.75 for the general public; $3.75 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.25 for students with a university ID.
