Circle K Continues Holiday Tradition
With ‘Gift of Love’ Program

 MAILED:  Nov. 21, 2003

EAU CLAIRE — Circle K, a university service organization, will hold its 10th annual “Gift of Love” collection of essential winter items Nov. 23 through Dec. 5.

The program encourages students, staff and faculty members at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to help provide essential winter items needed by local families with limited resources. According to the Salvation Army, this year there is a special need for blankets, winter jackets and toys, but other clothing items in good condition as well as non-perishable food donations will be accepted. Monetary donations are also encouraged and accepted. The Salvation Army will distribute the blankets, toys, food, and new or used clothing to families in need during the holidays.

Donations can be placed in the “Gift of Love” boxes at the following locations:

Monetary donations will be accepted at the Davies Center Booth or by mail. Checks should be made payable to UW-Eau Claire Circle K and mailed to Circle K International, 132 Davies Center, UW-Eau Claire, Eau Claire, WI 54702. The Circle K Club will cash individual checks and make out one total donation to the Salvation Army. The deadline for monetary donations is Dec. 4.

The local Circle K club is one of many in Circle K International, a sponsored youth organization of Kiwanis International. Its primary purpose is to provide volunteer service to both the campus and local community and to develop the leadership skills of club members.
