UW-Eau Claire to Offer Seminar
For Managers on Managing Change

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will present “Taking Charge of Change,” a two-day seminar designed for managers, supervisors, administrators, business owners and others who are responsible for planning or implementing change.

“Taking Charge of Change” will be offered in Eau Claire Jan. 15-16, 2004, at Sweetwaters Restaurant. The seminar focuses on overcoming resistance to change and minimizing the potential trauma change may create in people and firms.

Workshop instructor Ken De Meuse is a professor of management at the UW-Eau Claire College of Business and has served as a consultant to industry and government throughout the United States. His academic research and writing investigates the affects of corporate downsizing on people.

“Taking Charge of Change” is a specialized course in the Supervisory Management Certificate program co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, and UW-Extension.
