UW-Eau Claire Women’s Concert Chorale
To Present Fall Concert Nov. 9

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Women’s Concert Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Alan Rieck, assistant professor of music, will present a concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The concert will begin with three sacred pieces by Tomas Luis de Victoria; Michael Cunningham, professor of music; and Joan Szymko. The concert will continue with “Go ‘Way From My Window,” “Black is the Color of My True Love’s Hair” and “I Love Little Willie,” which will feature soprano Mitra Sadeghpour, assistant professor of music. Also, Dr. Kathryn Proctor Duax, professor of music, will solo on the Ralph Vaughan Williams piece, “Magnificat.”

After intermission, the choir will perform “Angel,” a student composition by junior Kathleen Maza, Eagan, Minn. The concert will close with three well-known works, “The Ballad of Nancy Dee,” “He Never Failed Me Yet” and “Elijah Rock.”

Freshman Kelsey Grande, Dousman, and junior Maggie Hartzheim, Green Bay, will provide piano accompaniment for the concert, and senior Kristine Johnson, Loyal, will assist on flute.

Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or (800) 949-UWEC, are $4.75 for the general public; $3.75 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.25 for students with a university ID.
