UW-Eau Claire’s Fifth Annual
Majors Fair Set for Oct. 30

 MAILED:  Oct. 16, 2003

EAU CLAIRE —The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s fifth annual Majors Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

“The Majors Fair provides an opportunity for all academic departments, multi-disciplinary and pre-professional programs to highlight materials and information about their programs,” said Jean Patt, an adviser in the Advising and Academic Testing office.

All students are invited to the event. It is intended especially for current UW-Eau Claire students who have not yet declared a major or are contemplating a change in their major or minor, as well as prospective students.

This year’s fair will again include high school juniors and seniors participating in campus visits, along with students who are interested in transferring to UW-Eau Claire from two-year UW System campuses and technical colleges in western Wisconsin, Patt said.

The fair, which is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire’s Advising and Academic Testing office, will provide a relaxed atmosphere where students can talk with faculty, department chairs, academic staff, and upper-class students in a variety of disciplines. Representatives from Academic and Career Services, the Center for International Education, the National Student Exchange Program and the Center for Service-Learning will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

For more information, contact Patt at (715) 836-3487.
