UW-Eau Claire Students Select
2003 Homecoming Royalty

EAU CLAIRE — Joseph Rand, Circle Pines, Minn., and Jacqueline Thomas, Appleton, were selected as the 2003 Homecoming king and queen at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Rand, a senior majoring in public relations, represented The Singing Statesmen. He is the son of Timothy and Sandy Rand.

Thomas, a senior majoring in English literature, represented the Women’s Concert Chorale. She is the daughter of Jim and Rosie Thomas.

Members of the 2003 Homecoming court were as follows:

Arkdale: Brian Babbitt, a senior majoring in management, represented Beta Upsilon Sigma. He is the son of Kevin and Carol Babbitt.

Burnsville, Minn.: Rebecca Gilbertson, a junior majoring in psychology, represented Sigma Sigma Sigma. She is the daughter of Nancy and Richard Gilbertson.

Cottage Grove, Minn.: Melissa Briggs, a freshman who has not yet chosen a major, represented Oak Ridge Hall. She is the daughter of Connie and Tom Briggs.

Janesville: Kyle Sucher, a senior majoring in mass communication with an emphasis in electronic media, represented the Interfraternity Council. He is the son of Diane TeBeau and Tim Sucher.

Madison: Siegfried (Siggy) Spelter, a sophomore majoring in journalism, represented Bridgeman Hall. He is the son of Henry and Violet Spelter.

Princeton, Minn.: Brian Koskey, a senior majoring in journalism, represented TV-10. He is the son of Don and Colleen Koskey.

Shoreview, Minn.: Abby Hanson, a senior majoring in marketing and public relations, represented the Panhellenic Council. She is the daughter of Brent and Diane Hanson.

Watertown: Dusty Huebner, a senior majoring in communication with an emphasis in public communication, represented the Towers Hall Council. She is the daughter of Warren Huebner and Sue Wagner.

The following students were candidates for the Homecoming court:

Blair: Charles Betthauser, a freshman who has not yet chosen a major, represented Sutherland Hall. He is the son of Roger and Carol Betthauser.

Brookfield: Angela Ryan, a senior majoring in graphic design, represented Designer’s Ink. She is the daughter of Mary and Dennis Ryan.

Eden Prairie, Minn.: Marla Johnson, a senior majoring in marketing, represented the Eau Claire Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association. She is the daughter of Bonnie and Robert Johnson.

Elk River, Minn.: Megan Trunnell, a senior majoring in secondary education social studies, represented Alpha Phi Omega. She is the daughter of Mike and Mary Ella Trunnell.

Richfield, Minn.: Krista Cedergren, a senior majoring in public relations, represented the student chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. She is the daughter of Maree White and Kevin Cedergren.

Stratford: Nicole Riehle, a junior majoring in health care administration, represented Governor’s Hall. She is the daughter of Mike and Denise Riehle.

Weyauwega: Eric Highlander, a sophomore majoring in business administration, represented Putnam Hall. He is the son of Mark and Tammy Highlander.
