Claire to Present “OctSOBERfest”
For National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

EAU CLAIRE — As part of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness
Week, Oct. 12-19, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will present “OctSOBERfest,”
eight days of healthy activities that prove alcohol isn’t necessary for
relaxation and fun with friends.
Following is the schedule of events for “OctSOBERfest”:
Sunday, Oct. 12:
- Climbing Wall — McPhee 210C, 6:30-10:45 p.m. Free
Monday, Oct. 13:
- Booth in Davies Center, “When Alcohol Leaves a Lasting
Effect” — 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- “A Day to Remember,” a special memorial service;
the funeral toll will ring at 23 and 46 minutes past the hour in memory of
people killed in alcohol-related crashes in Wisconsin last year — Campus
Mall, 11:50 a.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 14:
- Booth in Davies Center, “No More Excuses” —
9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- “Get Strong Stations,” Aerobics Class —
Ade Olson, Room 199, 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 15:
- Booth in Davies Center — 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Carolyn Cornelison, presentation to faculty and staff —
Presidents Room, Davies Center, 3 p.m.; presentation to students — Schofield
Auditorium, 7 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 16:
- Booth in Davies Center — 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

“OctSOBERfest” is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Activities
and Programs, Housing and Residence Life, University Recreation, Student Health
Services, National Residence Hall Honorary, the Residence Hall Activities Board
