Adopt-a-Block Neighborhood Clean Up

 MAILED:  Oct. 3, 2003

Students will help clean up the Historic Randall Park and Third Ward neighborhoods as part of UW-Eau Claire’s Homecoming festivities this weekend.

Students participating in the Adopt-a-Block competition will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, in the university’s Water Street parking lot.

The students will break into teams, with teams competing to pick up trash in their designated areas. Each team will be assigned a block from north of Water Street, the Third Ward or the Historic Randall Park Neighborhood. Whichever team collects the most garbage in the designated amount of time will win. Fifteen teams have registered for the event.

The media is welcome.
