‘Math for Young Achievers’ to Start
At UW-Eau Claire in October

EAU CLAIRE — “Math for Young Achievers,” a course for children ages 5-15 who have exceptional mathematical abilities, is offered for fall 2003 through a partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and UW-Extension.

Classes meet Saturday mornings 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. in Hibbard Hall at UW-Eau Claire and are scheduled every Saturday Oct. 11 through Dec. 13, with the exception of Nov. 29. Winter 2004 sessions will begin in February.

“Math for Young Achievers” is a multi-level program and participants are placed in the class appropriate to their academic level. Placement is determined from school recommendations and by evaluation of the program director, Dr. Mohamed Elgindi.

Course tuition is $195 and includes materials. To register or for more information, call UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education at (715) 836-3636. Students also may register on-site at the first class session Oct. 11.
