UW-Eau Claire to Offer
“Training Employees” Seminar

 MAILED:  Sept. 22, 2003

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/Extension will present “Training Employees,” a two-day seminar designed for managers and small business owners who conduct one-on-one, on-the-job training.

“Training Employees” will be offered in Eau Claire Oct. 22-23 at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Chuck Levine is the instructor. Levine has worked with technical trainers and on-the-job trainers throughout the United States and is currently president of Instructional Design Associates, based in Sharon, Mass.

Participants will learn different instructional styles and how to pick the appropriate style for the situation. How to handle different types of learners and how to make the most effective use of valuable training time are stressed. Participants also will receive feedback on their one-on-one training skills.

Future sessions of “Training Employees” are scheduled for 2004 in La Crosse May 19-20 and again in Eau Claire June 10-11. For a complete schedule of dates, locations and additional program information, call (715) 836-5637 or (800) 582-5182, visit the Continuing Education Web site, or e-mail Mgmt_Seminars@uwec.edu.

“Training Employees” is part of the Supervisory Management Certificate program co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, and UW-Extension.
